first home-made dinner


Started off with a Japanese meal. We lugged our ten pound Japanese cookbook here with hopes of going through every recipe. This one's a soup with shiitake mushrooms, daikon (radish), konnyaku (a jelly-ish food made of yams), pork, scallions, miso broth, and gobo (long Japanese root vegetables, tastes like a carrot mixed with a potato.)
